Hold Me Tight
Posted: February 10, 2013
Hi all, I am so excited about our upcoming Hold Me Tight group. Susan Johnson speaks about adult attachment in her book. It goes back to research and theories by John Bowlby. Dr. Johnson summarizes the concept of adult attachment as "a sense of secure connection between romantic partners [as] key in positive loving relationships and a huge source of strength for the individuals in those relationships."
This quote ties in nicely to my motto, "Improving personal wellness one couple at a time". In my work with couples, I help them repair past hurts and learn to turn to each other for comfort and support. In doing this, it offers each individual a powerful inner strength and confidence, and strengthens their bond and relationship at the same time. Hence, when you come for couples counselling, you inadvertently achieve greater personal wellness and strength while gaining a greater sense of security in your romantic relationship.
If you would like to learn more about Dr. Johnson's book, "Hold Me Tight" and how you can achieve a stronger romantic relationship, please consider signing up for our Hold Me Tight 3 day workshop. For more information, please refer to my "Events" page.
Be Well,
Melissa
